About Me

About the Pastor

Pastor Owen S. Thompson is a native of Kingston, Jamaica. He left Jamaica at the age of 10 and moved to Brooklyn, New York where he completed his education. He met and married his beautiful wife, Janet Thompson, and they have three wonderful children.

Pastor Thomson felt the call of God on his life for ministry at a young age and he was ordained as a Pastor in the Refuge Temple Church in Brooklyn, New York. He left New York and moved to Florida because he felt that God wanted him to start a ministry in the city of Oviedo.

He started the Refuge Temple Church in 2001. At that time, he had approximately 10 members. He later changed the name of the church to The Victory Worship Center, and this is the name at this time.

He has received his training from Liberty University and the Andersonville Theological Seminary.

He believes that God desires for him to build a church that will glorify God. He believes that it is the purpose of God, our Heavenly Father, to call out of the world a saved people who shall contribute to the Body of Christ, built and established on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the Chief Cornerstone.
